Everything about glass dildos

Glass feels scary because it looks fragile. Proper borosilicate glass is dense, smooth, and lets you play with temperature in a way silicone cannot.
Which glass, and why
Look for borosilicate glass, the same family as lab glass. It handles thermal shock far better than decorative glass. A blown dildo that is too thin, or a “crystal” object with no spec, has no place in a body.
The surface is non-porous. It washes easily, holds no smell, and slides. It is also inflexible: the shape you choose is the shape you get. Check the curve and diameter before buying, not only the photo.
Hot and cold
A few minutes in warm water, or in a bowl of cool water, change the feel. Warm, not burning: test on the inside of the wrist first. Do not use the microwave, and do not go from freezer to body.
Lube is still essential. Glass slides, but skin still needs a film. Water-based or silicone, both work with glass.
The precautions that matter
Before each use, run a finger over the whole surface. A chip, even a small one, and the toy goes in the bin. Store it in a pouch, not loose with hard objects.
For anal, the base must stop full insertion. A glass dildo meant for the vagina is not automatically a plug. And as always, wash before changing orifice.
